Dolores Burns Schaefer

CISCO- Dolores Burns Schaefer of Cisco left this world, at age 86, Thursday, November 5, 2020.

She was born September 20, 1934 in Okra, TX and is survived by her husband, of 69 years, Paul Gene Schaefer, Daughter Paula Schaefer, and Son Brian Schaefer of Cisco, Granddaughter Michelle Ray Strength of Coleman, Grandsons Michael Schaefer of Round Rock, TX, Michael Ray of Junction, TX, Great Grandsons Tony Brasher and James Brasher of Pennsylvania and Travis Brasher of Coleman, Great Granddaughter Emily Brasher of Santa Anna, TX, Great Great Grandchildren Brantley Lucas and Harper Lucas of Santa Anna, Sisters in Law Norma Schaefer Harris and Gloria Schaefer Moser of Fort Worth and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by Daughter Sherry Schaefer Ray, Parents Ella and Fred Burns, Brother Elton Burns, Sisters Velda Jean Burns Walker and Janice Burns Greenhaw.

Dolores never saw a stranger, she made many friends everywhere she went and was always helping someone out. She was active as a Girl Scout leader in both Amarillo and Austin when she lived there. Dolores chose to donate her body to science administered by UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
