Ben Aaron Nichols

CISCO- Ben Aaron Nichols, 90, of Cisco passed away Friday evening, January 4, 2019 in Abilene.

Ben was born in Placid, McCulloch County, Texas on September the 9th, 1928 the son of Stephen Clay and Lillian Irene (Dillon) Nichols. Ben attended elementary school in Placid and then made the decision to go to work in the oil field. Ben worked many jobs in his career beginning with roughneck all the way to supervisor. On January the 12th 1945 he married Emma Lee Jones in Eastland Texas, and they were married for 59 years before her passing in 2004. Ben enjoyed visiting with people especially those men he played golf with, a game he enjoyed with his son Bennie Lee.

Ben is survived by two sons, Gary Lynn Nichols of Cisco and Freddie Don Nichols and wife Ann of Indianapolis Indiana. Daughter-in-law Elizabeth Nichols of Cisco; a sister Evelyn Irene Burke of Cisco. Grandchildren Jennifer and husband Nicholas Burke, Julie Rust and husband Aaron, Lynnsey Gines and husband LeRoy and Leeanne Jones. Great -grandchildren Cooper, Harper and Mason Rust and Greyson and Emerson Webster. And a number of nieces nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Emma Lee, and son Bennie Lee Nichols. Siblings Billie Merle Curry, Alvin Clay(Dick) Nichols, Faye Halene Madry. Ray Nichols. Harold Dean Nichols. Johnie Harvey Nichols. And a great granddaughter Lacey Lynn Nichols.
