Edwin Drue Posey, Jr.

CISCO- Edwin Drue Posey Jr., 92, of Cisco, Texas peacefully passed away and joined our gracious Lord above on January 6, 2019.

He was born on April 10, 1926 in the small town of Annona, Texas. Edwin Drue was the beloved husband and best friend of Eldis Jean Posey for over 73 years. They married on August 10, 1945 IN Scranton, Texas. He played football for the Big Dam Lobos from 1942-1944, and remained an avid Lobo fan. Ed served in the 274th Division U.S. Army, while seeing combat over in Europe during World War II. In 1960 Ed opened up his first business, a Premier Gas Station. In the early 1970’s when Interstate 20 was constructed, he moved to a Skelly Service Station. After years of success at the Skelly he moved to Gulf, before eventually retiring in 1988. Ed Posey was also a member of the Masons for over seventy years.

He is survived by his wife Eldis Jean Posey; Six kids Brenda Reed, Andrea Seabourn, Carla Posey, Robby Posey, Curt Posey, and Shane Posey. Thirteen Grandchildren Brad Reed, Danny Reed, Franky Seabourn, David Seabourn, Brandon Munoz, Nathan Posey, Matt Posey, Corey Collins, Jeremy Posey, Bailey Posey, Jenna Martin, Josh Posey and Jinger Posey. He also has numerous great grandchildren as well.

He was preceded in death by his four brothers James, Allen, Clinton, and Jimmy; and nephew Randy Posey.

Visitation wasWednesday January 9, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco, Texas.

Graveside Service in Memory of Ed will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 1 P.M. at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas officiated by Pastor Mike Bacon.
