Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn Passes in Cisco
In Monday night’s Cisco City Council meeting September 27, 2021 the City of Cisco voted and passed the Sanctuary Cities for the unborn. This was the first reading.

On Thursday September 23, 2021 Texas DPS Narcotics Agents along with the Cisco Police Department executed a search warrant at a local motel room. Two Cisco residents, Jesse Leland Ellison, 29 and Brittany Nicole Griffin, 25 were found to be in possession of substantial quantities of methamphetamine. Ellison was already wanted on multiple warrants out of Eastland County for Organized Criminal Activity. Both Ellison and Griffin are now facing new charges of First Degree Felony Manufacture and Delivery of Controlled Substances in Penalty Group 1. Griffin was also charged with Resisting Arrest or Search. Both were housed in Eastland County Jail. Eastland County Sheriff’s Office also assisted on this investigation.

The Cookie Walk will be part of the popular City Wide Garage Sale hosted by the Cisco Chamber of Commerce. Waverly’s Art Studio Building- next door to Waverly’s - will have long tables stacked high with a large assortment of cookies. You will be able to walk along these tables laden with fresh cookies and personally select as many different types and amounts of cookies as you desire. We will sell cookies “by the pound” and the walk will end when all cookies are sold.
