Fresh Vision

When considering yourself as being just one person out of the millions upon the earth, what do you see? How important do you feel are in the scope of things as pertains to life and liberty? You are just one person. Scripture says this about one man: “Wherefore as by ONE MAN sin entered into the world, and death by sin;… (Romans 5:12). The Bible doesn’t say God punished the entire human race for one man’s sin. However, man’s disposition of sin to claim my right to myself and to my life.

Tim McKinney For Cisco ISD Board Place 5

For those of you who may not know me, I am Tim McKinney, the incumbent in the upcoming Cisco ISD school board election, place 5. My wife Margaret and I are both graduates of CHS as well as our children, Aaron, Shareah, Noah, and Tabitha. Having had four children graduate from Cisco High School, my interests there are as diverse as theirs were. Through their experiences I have a unique look into areas such as marching band, athletics, cheerleading, UIL academics, the Cisco Learning Center, One Act Play, and dual credit. Therefore, I know the value that each of these institutions has to our students. I understand how involvement in these programs and others offered at CHS are important to the wellrounded development of our students. We also currently have one grandchild attending Cisco schools. As a lifetime resident, I am deeply invested in the future and well-being of our youth. It has been my honor and privilege to serve as a Trustee of the CISD board for the past 17 years, as interim president and currently as vicepresident.

Robert D Butler, Candidate For Place 2, Ranger City Commissioner

“I would like to be a part of representing the ideas of the majority of Ranger. One of my primary goals is to consider as many different courses of action as possible, to allow for the best possible decisions. I will personally see that the information leading to decisions by the city council and the results of those meetings are published in our local news. I believe that the council’s actions should include discussions with our citizens, hearing ideas both ‘for’ and ‘against’ before voting on behalf of our community.” ~ City of Ranger Water Commissioner - Robert Dale Butler
