Cisco Police Department Warns of a Possible Scam

Cisco Police Department has received information of a possible scam in which an unknown person is calling residents posing as a Cisco Police Officer. They will possibly have a foreign accent. They will tell you that there is an investigation into an identity theft and then request your personal identifiers for their records. The phone number may even appear as Cisco Police, however we are not making such calls. We encourage all citizens that may encounter this problem to NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION over the phone unless you are absolutely sure of who you are speaking with. RED GAP BREWERY IN CISCO

RED GAP BREWERY IN CISCO--Local brewery, Red Gap, is located at 712 Conrad Hilton Blvd in Cisco. The name stems from the town’s history, with the original 1878 settlement being called “Red Gap.” The brewery has been active in Cisco since June 2017. Owners Ryan Dekok and Jason Mahon originate in Keller, TX and started eyeing Cisco while visiting Jason’s local ranch. The two decided that they liked the people and way of life, ultimately starting their business in town. Co-owner Ryan, states that his favorite part of his job is getting to meet people he wouldn’t normally see. He claims the atmosphere behind the scenes is hard labor, but the tap room is responsible, safe and full of good times. The brewery got hit hard during the pandemic, but the owners are hopeful there’s opportunity afterwards. Red Gap’s current hours are Thursday and Friday 4pm-7pm and Saturday 11am-4pm. Food trucks available each day.
