RED GAP BREWERY IN CISCO

RED GAP BREWERY IN CISCO--Local brewery, Red Gap, is located at 712 Conrad Hilton Blvd in Cisco. The name stems from the town’s history, with the original 1878 settlement being called “Red Gap.” The brewery has been active in Cisco since June 2017. Owners Ryan Dekok and Jason Mahon originate in Keller, TX and started eyeing Cisco while visiting Jason’s local ranch. The two decided that they liked the people and way of life, ultimately starting their business in town. Co-owner Ryan, states that his favorite part of his job is getting to meet people he wouldn’t normally see. He claims the atmosphere behind the scenes is hard labor, but the tap room is responsible, safe and full of good times. The brewery got hit hard during the pandemic, but the owners are hopeful there’s opportunity afterwards. Red Gap’s current hours are Thursday and Friday 4pm-7pm and Saturday 11am-4pm. Food trucks available each day.

Multiple Crimes Brought to a Quick End

A Sunday night robbery at Flyin’ J Truck Stop in Cisco was quickly solved by Cisco Police and a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper. At approximately 8:00pm Sgt. Lee Risdon and Trooper Adam Constancio had received radio broadcast of a stolen vehicle coming toward Eastland County. The vehicle, a black Ford pickup, was stolen in Scurry County, Texas and was operated by a suspect that had fled a scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Snyder area before stealing the ford pickup. The vehicle was quickly located at the Stripes Convenience Store in Cisco and the driver taken into custody in the parking area.
