On May 5, 2020 the Cisco Police Department began an investigation into a sexual assault of an 18 year old victim. During the investigation a suspect was identified and after being contacted by police the suspect fled the area. On May 26, 2020, after a 3 week search, the suspect, Zain Xavier Wright, 22 of Cisco surrendered to the Eastland County Sheriff’s Department where he was booked on a warrant for Sexual Assault. He was later released on $30,000.00 bail. This case has been filed with 91st District Attorney’s Office.

JC’s Deli has been in business for 7 years located in the Myrtle Wilks community center. The deli is named after a pastor that used to preach at the church there. His name was John C Jones. As of 3 years a sweet lady named Liz Robertson has been managing the local deli. If you are wanting to support the local, and want to be welcomed by some friendly faces I would recommend going to JC’s deli. By Brooke Reep
