Alva Ingram Key

Alva Ingram Key, 88, of Cisco, TX passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2021, in Stephenville at Texas Health Hospital. Visitation was held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 16 at Chambers Funeral Home in Cisco with funeral services at 11 a.m. Burial followed in the Nimrod Cemetery.

Alva was born November 15, 1932, in Whitewright, TX to Charlie and Willie Mae (Head) Rice.

Alva moved to Cisco in 1949 when she was 16 years old and lived with her sister Eula Mae and husband J.D Yowell. She got her first job at City Drug in Cisco, where she met and fell in love with Howard B. Ingram. On February 21,1950 she married Howard, and they made their home in Scranton, TX. After their marriage, she and Howard worked together farming peanuts and raising cattle. She also worked for nine years at Boss Glove Manufacturing and assisted her daughter and son-in-law at Quick Way Grocery in Cisco. They were married for 39 years when Howard passed away in February 1989. She remained in Cisco until her move to Stephenville, TX, where she resided for the past eight years.

She is survived by her daughter Sandy and husband Roy Dennis of Stephenville, and her son Dennis Ingram and wife Linda of Cisco, TX, a brother Glen Rice of Weatherford, TX. She is also survived by many loving friends and extended family. Grandchildren – Granddaughter Julie Moody and husband Brian Ray of Arlington, TX, Grandson Brady and wife Staci Dennis of Prosper, TX, Granddaughter Racheal Wilson of Chesapeake, VA, Granddaughter Elizabeth Ingram of Benbrook, TX, Granddaughter Crystal and husband Cody Derrick of Stephenville, TX, Grandson David Ingram and wife Sheryl of Arlington, TX, Grandson Andrew Ingram and wife Monica of Cisco, TX. Great-Grandchildren – Kolen and wife Stephanie White of Granbury, TX, Bryan and wife Christyn Sullivan of Buffalo, NY, Tyler Orocu of Benbrook, TX, Jordan Moody of Arlington, TX, Lauren Collup of Benbrook, TX, Jessica Collup of Benbrook, TX, Reagan Ray of Arlington, TX, Madeline and Charlotte Dennis of Prosper, TX, and Gabrielle Derrick of Stephenville, TX. Great-Great Grandchildren – Ella White, Ember White, and Jaxon Sullins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters, her husband Howard B. Ingram and second husband J.E. Key.
