Obituary

Barry Dale Pointer was born May 25, 1954 in Silverton, Texas. He had been a resident of Quitman for 8 years, formerly living in Ft. Worth. He did masonry work for many years, and owned several farmer’s market locations. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, shooting skeet, sitting around a fire, dancing and spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Barry passed away at the age of 65 on September 16, 2019 in Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Pointer; parents, Billy & Collene Pointer; brother, Gary Pointer; and sister, Betty Brown.

Survivors include his children, Amber Withers (John) of Cost and Brock Pointer (Payten) of Malakoff; stepson, Archie Coleman of Alvarado; brother, Larry Pointer; sisters, Billie Finley and Linda Wade; sisterin-law, Tollie Pointer; and grandchildren, Wyatt, Joni, Audrey, Sarah, Van and Emrik.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
