Clois Wayne Webb
CISCO- Clois Wayne Webb, 89, of Cisco passed from this life Thursday, February 20, 2020 in a Fort Worth Hospital.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 24, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cisco, officiated by Reverend Ronnie Shackelford and Reverend Danny Reid. Burial followed at Nimrod Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Wayne was born January 10, 1931 in the Sabanno Community of Eastland County Texas the son of Clois Colquitt and Geneva Ester (King) Webb. He graduated High School in Grand Prairie Texas. Wayne married Anita Page in Cisco on July 16, 1949. They lived in Grand Prairie until1960 when they moved to Cisco where Wayne worked for Ollie Moran for a couple of years before starting his own construction company. In addition to building new home and remodeling, Wayne is noted for building the Royal Oak Apartments and the Cisco Inn. Wayne served the City of Cisco as the water commissioner in the 1960s. He also participated in many local projects such as Christmas in May a local home repair project for the elderly.
The most important part of Wayne’s life was his relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served in numerous capacities at Calvary Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. His passion was teaching young people the joy of being a Christian. He made countless friends over many decades of mentoring the youth at Twin Airport Baptist in Grand Prairie, Union Baptist between Cisco and Rising Star, East Cisco Baptist and Calvary Baptist in Cisco.
Wayne especially enjoyed the family gatherings at their home. As his family would gather in a circle for prayer, he would have his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren count off to see how many were in attendance. He would then turn to his wife of seventy years and say “Look what we started!”
He is survived by his wife Anita of Cisco; Children, Ivan Webb of Cisco, Ronnie Webb and wife Rae of Baird, and Rita Renfro and husband Art of Fort Worth; a brother, Floyd Webb and wife Belinda of Weatherford. Grandchildren Treva and Marco Hurtado, Bode and Terra Webb, Robert and Caroldean Fink, Rusty Fink and Kylie, Matt Fink and Karen, Joshua Webb and Bergen, Jared Webb, Nathan Webb.
Great Grandchildren: Marcus Hurtado, Sophia Hurtado, Brooklyn Hurtado, Liam Webb, Keldon Webb, Kayla Fink, Gracie Fink, Anna Fink, Emma Fink, Carter Webb, Taegen Webb, Christian Fikes.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clois and Geneva. Brother; Bill Webb and Two Sisters; Avenell Tanner and Frances Denton.
