Michael Don Sherman

Michael Don Sherman left this world on May 11th, 2020 in Arlington, Texas. Mike was born on September 20th, 1962 to Don and Nell (Urban) Sherman in Jacksboro, Texas.

Mike spent much of his teenage years in Cisco, Texas, and eventually graduated from Tarleton State University in 1985 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology. Later in the same year, Mike took on a position with the Texas Electric Service Company, which is now Oncor Electric Delivery. Mike worked with the company for 34 years, eventually becoming a Design Supervisor for the DeSoto Service Center. While with Oncor, Mike made many friendships with his colleagues, and took pride in the relationships that he crafted along the way. Mike loved to cruise the Caribbean, and would frequently visit whenever he could. Mike’s greatest love however was his family as a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandparent.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Nell Sherman of Cisco, and is survived by his wife Lisa of Arlington, son Brent of Arlington and son and daughter-in-law Tyler and Mercedes of Venus, his two grandchildren Wyatt and Vivian of Venus, his father Don Sherman of Cisco, brother and sister-in-law Robert and Mary Kay of Burleson, his mother-in-law Barbara Brinkley of Eastland, and his brother-in-law Scott Brinkley of Stephenville, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
