Football will return to Eastland County this coming weekend when the Eastland High School head coach James Morton and his staff hold the annual youth football camp. The 4-day camp will be held from 8:30-11 a.m. each day at the Eastland High School practice facility.

Alexis Hicks and Londyn Carroll did everything but drive the bus this season en route to helping the Eastland Lady Mavericks punch their way into the Class3A state softball playoffs. To be sure, their efforts weren’t overlooked by the District 8-3A coaches when the smoke cleared.

SAN ANGELO, TX (03/03/2021)-- Nearly 250 Angelo State University student-athletes and athletic training students, including Marshall Goode of Cross Plains, have been named to the ASU Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the fall 2020 semester.

Eastland County will be well represented this June when the annual Big Country Chevy Dealers 2021 FCA All-Star Festival gets under way. The county will have 17 athletes from four area schools participate in the 22nd annual All-Star Festival, which is scheduled for June 3-12 in four different Big Country cities. The festival will include football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, golf, student trainers and cheerleading.
