Estella “Missy” Flores

Memorial services for Missy Flores, 52, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Roger Chapel with Arthur Sanchez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Missy was born on April, 25, 1966 in Hobbs, NM to Pedro Sr. and Lorenza (Pena) Flores and passed away on February 24, 2019 in Dallas, TX. Missy was raised in Lovington and attended school here until her senior year. She loved unconditionally and was a steadfast believer in family above all else. Forgiveness was her super power. Her strength in facing personal adversity, her positive outlook and overwhelming love for her grandchildren provided her family with a constant reminder of the power of love. Music and crossword puzzles provided her with daily companionship and entertainment. Any mention of the Dallas Cowboys would bring a huge smile and a shout of cheer for her team.

Preceding her in death was one nephew, Vincent Arthur Flores.

Surviving her is her mother: Lorenza Flores of Lovington, NM; her father: Pedro Flores Sr; three daughters: Kayla and husband Oscar Martinez of Lovington, NM, Dawn Johnson of Ranger, TX, and Celina Mendoza and husband Abel of Ranger, TX; three brothers: Vincent and wife Mary Flores of Chicago, IL, Arthur Flores of De Leon, TX and Pedro Flores Jr of Lovington, NM; two sisters: Monica Flores and husband Drew Cheek of South Carolina, and Priscilla and husband Jason Welch of Yukon, Oklahoma; also nine grandchildren.
