Juanita Clemmer Chipman Obituary
Juanita Clemmer Chipman was born in Albany, TX. on June 26, 1933 to Thomas Earl and Mary Ann Clemmer. She entered into eternal rest on Nov. 9, 2017.
Juanita was the youngest of 10 children and was preceded in death by all her siblings, Lela Mae, Opal, Muriel, Burva, Virginia, Archie, T.E., Wesley and Willie. She was also preceded by her first husband, Wayne Hutchison, and one son, Alan Max.
She moved to Eastland as a youngster, with her parents, and began working at David Maxey Drug Store at the age of 14. Four years later, after her parents had moved to Odessa, she moved to Odessa and was soon employed as fountain manager at a Drug Store.
In her early 40’s, she earned her GED. She graduated from cosmotology school and worked as a beautician for several years, during which time she married Wayne T. Hutchison, and gave birth to two sons, Leo Dale and Alan Max.
Juanita began a career in gas measurement in Odessa, beginning with Brammer Chart Intergration; then Perry Gas Company, Parker Gas Measurement and Phillips Petroleum Co., retiring from Phillips in 1996.
Juanita became a Christian at an early age and attending church was top priority. She loved to participate in visitation and Vacation Bible School when at all possible.
Her “pet peeve” was Why don’t church members visit more.”
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Odessa.
It is a great blessing to know that Juanita is rejoicing today with Jesus and other loved ones she had longed to see.
