DAV Commander Joel Jimenez, Chapter 41, Wichita Falls, Texas, Larry Monroe, Ranger Veterans Support Group Leader, DAV members and veterans honored members of the United States Postal Service on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Ranger Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park, in appreciation of the U.S. Postal Service’s long history of hiring and providing career opportunities to veterans. The Postal Service also supports local and national veteran outreach organizations to help veterans find a career with USPS. Pictured above are recipients of the recognition: Ty Howard, Postal Service District Safety Specialist, and Panama era veteran; Paul Peralez, Postal Service District Safety Specialist, and Panama era veteran, and David Elliott, Postmaster of Eastland Post Office (including Ranger); Commander Joel Jimenez; and Larry Monroe at the Ranger Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Commander Jimenez grew up in Ranger, as did Larry Monroe. They both are veterans of the Vietnam War.
