Warm Days, Beautiful Sunsets enjoyed in late Winter

It may have felt like summer on Monday and Tuesday with near ninety temperatures, but according to a trusted and tried farmer’s wisdom, one should wait until the pecan trees leaf out (or mesquite trees in a more westwardly version) to plant tomatoes. In simpler terms, it’s not yet Spring, as the bare limbs of the pecan tress pictured above at sunset bear witness. But the early warmth has been enjoyed. Photo taken in Gorman by ECT Staff
