By Tommy Wells Brooklyn Sanchez turned in a sensational performance last week at the Rising Star Relays. The Ranger High School standout pocketed two portion of the March 8 meet.
Eastland County Retired Teachers met Monday, March 11 at Judge Scott Bailey Center, Eastland. President Gail Norris welcomed members and visitors. She then introduced Nancy Robinson Masters, author, who told of her journey into writing children’s books. Her presentation was in conjunction with E.C.R.T’s annual book drive. Books from E.C.R.T. are presented annually on a rotating basis to elementary schools in Cisco, Eastland, Gorman, Ranger, and Rising Star.
Jason Whetstone Speakes at Lions Club
Jason Whetstone from the Open Door was guest speaker recently at the Eastland Lions Club. The club welcomed Mr. Whetstone and found his talk very informative.

Bethel Baptist Church of Eastland will be having their annual Rummage Sale March 15 and 16 and 22 and 23. This will be a clean-out sale and prices will be low. Items for sale include furniture, clothes, dishes, purses, jewelry, plants, fabric, linens, what-nots, and lots of miscellaneous.
