Annual Magi’s Bazaar at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Nov. 5

The Altar Society of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church will hold their 26th Annual Magi’s Bazaar at the Holy Rosary Parish Hall, 1106 Avenue F in Cisco (behind Brookshires), on Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Bazaar will feature handcrafted holiday items, home décor and gift items, jewelry, Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations, and lots of mouth-watering baked goods. Some of our handcrafted items include handknitted scarves, quilts and quilted items, crocheted scrubbies, dishrags, and warm fleece blankets. For baked goods.

TEEA Offers Lunch Seminar

Looking for new ideas for holiday gatherings? Make plans to attend Parties With Pizzazz!, a Lunch and Learn Seminar offered by Texas Education Extension Association (TEEA) on Monday, November 21 at 11:30 a.m. at the Scott Bailey Event Center, 201 W. Main St, Eastland. This free session is open to the public. Bring a pot luck dish to share or your own lunch and learn how to be a successful hostess, develop a party plan, feed a crowd and more great party ideas.

Temporary Closure of CR 351 as SH 6 Project Continues

EASTLAND COUNTY - The Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will temporarily close the intersection of CR 351 at SH 6 this week due to the rehabilitation project on SH 6 northwest of Gorman. This closure is expected to occur at the earliest this Thursday, Nov. 3. During the closure, traffic on CR 351 will be detoured from CR 351, west to CR 353 and then north on CR 352, to access SH 6. The duration of the closure is anticipated to last 44 working days.

EARLY VOTING IN PROGRESS

Early Voting for the November 8th 2022 Election began Monday, October 24th. Early Voting for Eastland County will continue at the Eastland County Courthouse, 100 W. Main St. Ste 104A in Eastland on the following dates: October 24 - October 28 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 P.M. and October 31 - November 4 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 P.M.

EHS Theatre Performs Musical

We are all thrilled in the drama department at E.H.S. to present the hilarious musical theatre performance of Westward Whoa! by Tim Kelly, music and lyrics by Bill Francoeur, Saturday Nov. 5th at 6:30 pm and Sunday Nov. 6 at 3:30 pm in the EHS theatre.
