The City of Eastland, along with Waste Connections, has offered free bagged leaf pick-ups on the second and fourth Fridays of each month beginning in December. This service for the season will end on Friday, March 25, 2022. All bagged leaves must be placed at the curb no earlier than 24 hours in advance of a scheduled pick up. Residents must call Eastland City Hall at 254-629-8321 to be placed on the pick-up list at least 24 hours before a pick-up date.

On Wednesday 3/09/2022 multiple officers with the Eastland Police Department executed search and arrest warrants at the Maverick Apartments located at 1101 Lago Vista Blvd in Eastland Texas.

On March 9, 2022 the Bluebonnet Chapter of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association met at The Lumber Yard Event Center in Eastland. Eastland Mayor Larry Vernon and Eastland City Secretary Roma Holley welcomed City Secretaries from across the region and provided a meal, catered by MJ’s Back Porch and sponsored by Clint Coffee State Farm Insurance. Goody Bags were also provided to all and were well received.
