Announcing retirement from EBAA Iron

I am retiring with mixed emotions; sadness for the closure of one chapter and happiness for the start of another. I would like to thank the late Mr. and Mrs. Bradley for offering me the opportunity to work for them. Mr. Bradley offered me the supervisor position early on and I accepted the job until he could hire someone else. After all these years I am retiring from that same position.

TxDot could permanently close Desdemona Blvd. Bridge

Jason Scantling, the director of Transportation Planning and Development for the Brownwood District, informed individuals in the Ranger community that the Desdemona Blvd Bridge across Interstate 20 at Ranger could be permanently closed and removed. “We have been evaluating the cost and feasibility of repairing and raising the bridge versus closing and removing it,” said Scantling, who said no decision had been made on the bridge as of yet. He noted TxDOT officials were seeking input from local residents and county leaders as part of an overall study. Photo: Tommy Wells
