The Eastland Centennial Memorial Library will have a summer reading program from June 1 - July 1. Come by the library at 210 South Lamar to check out books and read to win prizes. Hallie Hagan and Lance Tinkle signed to attend McMurray university at a ceremony held at the band room of Eastland High School last Thursday. Dr Mendoza of Mc- Murray was on hand for the signing. Lance will attend with a music major and Hallie will attend with an art major. Family and band students attended. This was the very first band signing ever at EHS! Photo Bob Hickox

Chad Roberts’ tenure as the Eastland County Sheriff came to and end on Monday morning in front of a large crowd in the Eastland County Courthouse when he tendered his resignation. About an hour later, Jason Weger was appointed to take his position.
