“Having Done Everything – Stand!”

To declare that we exist in a tumultuous world today appears to be an understatement. For at every turn we experience division, rancor, and disagreement regardless of the topic being discussed. Where do we draw the line? Because as we all know not everyone can be right on every subject every time. There must be a standard by which everything and everyone is measured. Where 2+2 is always going to add up to equaling four. Further, 16 ounces will always mean a pound. Thus, for our purposes as Christians and as loyal citizens of this great Republic we call America, our standard has always been and must remain the Word of God and His Will for His Glory. By which we understand our greatest challenge will never be political or cultural, but sin. As Timothy Keller in his book entitled “The Prodigal Prophet” states that, “The Bible does not say that every difficulty is the result of sin – but it does teach that every sin will bring you into difficulty.”
