Need For Animal Control Officer Discussed At City Meeting, Among Other Issues

The necessity for a Animal Control and Code Enforcement officer in Gorman was debated at Thursday’s City Commission meeting.  A citizen asked what could be done about a lose dog in Gorman that people were apparently threatening to shot, which might endanger people or property in the town. He asked if the city had a tranquilizer gun to use in this case. Gorman was a nice, quite town, he said, adding he wanted it to stay that way. That would require an Animal Control Officer, a commissioner pointed out.
