Gorman City Commissioners met Thursday March 18 to discuss a number of agenda items concerning city matters. Commissioners Brown, Garrett, and Straw were present for the meeting. Commissioner Laminack participated in the meeting remotely.
The Gorman Lady Panthers placed in the top three in all three relay events and rolled to a third-place finish in the 2021 May Invitational Track and Field Championships last week.
The annual Gorman Easter Treasure Hunt will be held Saturday, April 3rd, 2:30 p.m. at Gorman City Park in downtown. We have lots of Large Items so be sure and bring something BIG to put your treasures in.
A Food Bank of West Central Texas truck is ready to onload at the Gorman Food Bank. On Friday, March 19th 1200 boxes of food were available to be given out to local and addtional residents of Eastland County. A heartfelt thank you to all those in the Gorman area that have helped at the Gorman Community Food Bank. Thank you for stepping forward to help as we rise to the challenge of meeting the needs of our area of the last 22+ years and especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic. I am completely humbled by the compassion shown by the volunteers that no matter what the weather is, you show up to help! The volunteer staff is an inspiration, and I can’t thank you enough!
