Arlene M. Hooper, 88, of Tacoma, WA passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in University Place, WA.
Jon Glenn is pictured above as he takes the Oath of Office for the appointment of Gorman Interim Municipal Judge at Thursday’s City Commissioner’s meeting. The oath was administrated by City Secretary Tacy Warren. The appointment was to be of a temporary nature, standing in for Judge D J Walker. However, Police Chief Steven Anderson said he had just received the sad news that Judge Walker had passed away. Judge Glenn had agreed to come on board and would stay as long as needed, he added. Judge Glenn currently is Eastland County’s Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1. He has served in the military (21 years) and national guard, lives in Eastland County and is married to Amy O’Brien Glenn. Judge Glenn is familiar with court procedures but would need to take Municipal Judge classes, which should not present a problem, Chief Anderson said. He will receive the same pay as previously given to Judge Walker. Judge Glenn was welcomed on board by the Mayor and Commission. Photo courtesy of Chief Steven Anderson
