A local Gorman beauty shop has expanded to offer extended services to its community. The Hair Shoppe has recently purchased the barbershop next door. Over the last few months, they have remodeled to serve the local and surrounding community in a modern atmosphere. Julie Clark opened The Hair Shoppe in 1999 serving as an owner/ stylist for the community. Julie has been a cosmetologist for 33 years and has worked hard to serve community she grew up in and raised a family in over the years. As the years have gone by, the expansion at the salon has grown with a new building being built and stylist being added. With the growing demand over the last year and the adding of 2 additional stylists, Julie decided to partner together with Shawndelle Harrington. As a former salon owner and cos metology instructor, Shawndelle moved here from the Ft. Worth area last summer. With over 25 years of experience, Shawndelle is excited to partner with Julie in buying the barbershop next door to The Hair Shoppe. The salon has been renovated and has a dual salon license housing barbers and stylists. The Hair Shoppe & Barbershop has been given a modern look that hosts many services and over 33 years of experience. The renovated shop has 5 stations for barbers and stylists to serve the community and surrounding area’s needs. The Hair Shoppe & Barbershop is excited to have the additional pedicure spa area for your relaxing needs or a day out with a friend. This renovation of the building will let the community take advan-tage of the many new services offered like massage therapy, lash lifts, eyelash extensions, facials and nails. Julie and Shawndelle would like to thank Clark Construction and Harrington Construction for partnering together to make the vision become a reality. We encourage you to reach out for information when you need an addition. The Hair Shoppe & Barbershop will continue to be an asset to the community and surrounding areas.
