James Hardy Koger, Jr.

In Loving Memory of James Jr.

James Hardy Koger Jr passed away on February 27th, 2020 at Hendricks Medical Hospital in Abilene, Texas surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Eastland, Texas on September 30th, 1963 to Frankie Koger and James Harttie Koger Sr. James was preceded in death by his true love Cathy Larance, his mother Frankie Koger, his dad James Koger Sr. and his brother Larry Koger.

James is survived by his two children James Earl Koger and Latasha Bransford. He also raised 4 children as his own Riley Koger, Casey Larance, Amy Green, and April Larance. He had 5 grandchildren Hailey Hollis, Cameron Koger, Riley Koger, Ashley Koger, and Destiny Koger. He is survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters Randy Koger, Gary Koger, Debbie Koger, and Patricia Johnson.

James worked for United Petroleum’s as an owner operator for the last 15 years. Before working for upt He worked for J.T. Horn for several years. He worked on the dairy and vineyard in rising star Texas. All his life he has been a rancher. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, working on machinery, welding, farming, hunting, and fishing. He was the type a man that would help anyone out even if he really couldn’t. He loved to make you laugh and was always full of jokes. He was a devoted son, husband, father, and papa.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. March 14th at Church of God 513 Strawn road Ranger, Texas directed by Clint Eaton.
