Graciela Gonzalez is the Ranger High School Senior of the Month for September. Graciela is the daughter of Patricia Medina and Greg Martinez. She has attended Ranger for 12 years. Graciela is actively involved in Cross Country, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track, Cheer, Student Council, National Honors Society and UIL. Notable awards or accomplishments include Regional Qualifier in Cross Country, Bi-District and Area Basketball Champions, Volleyball playoff qualifier, Softball playoff qualifier, Basketball MVP, Basketball District Honorable mention, Basketball 2nd team all district, Softball 2nd team all district outfield, and U.I.L regional qualifier for spelling. She plans to attend Angelo State University after graduation.
Our staff member of the month is Mrs. Caprice Gatea. Mrs. Gatea is always positive and smiling. She is always willing to help another teacher, she is kind, considerate, and loves her students!
Mrs. Lisa Gunstanson (Mrs. Gee) has been working at Ranger ISD for the last 13 years. She has taught life skills, 6-8 ELA, 4th grade ELA and now special education. She graduated 2015 from Stephen F. Austin with a Masters Degree in Education. She is in charge of our Special education, 504, and Dyslexia program for our middle school and high school students. She leads the middle school UIL and the high school Student Council. Mrs. Gee was born in Iowa and raised in Nebraska, but got to Texas as fast as she could. She is married to Bro. Gee, pastor of the First United Pentecostal Church in Ranger. She has 3 wonderful sons, 3 amazing daughters-in-love, and 9 awesome grandchildren. She loves her students like her own children and plans to teach until she has her students’ children in class.
Ranger Elementary's student of the week is Addison Dunson. Addison represents the third grade and is always the first one to help out others. She works hard to be the best she can be! Congratulations Addison!
