The COVID-19 pandemic may have thrown education a curve, but it won’t keep Ranger College from taking a swing for the fences in 2020.
Ranger College President Dr. William J. Campion will be among the first to admit wearing a face mask is one of his least favorite things. His discomfort is immaterial, he said, if it offers even the slightest protection for the college’s employees, students and the members of the general public. “Effective June 23, we are asking all college employees to wear masks if they are around others,” he said. “Most businesses are showing customers the courtesy of wearing masks so they don’t pass along anything to others. We will be doing that, too. We want to do our part to protect others.” As part of Campion’s directive, college employees will be required to wear facemasks when in presence of other employees, students and members of the public while at work. Employees will not be required to wear masks if they are alone in their offices, but will be asked to put one on should another individual enter the office space.
