Kenneth Melvin Romines Obituary
Kenneth Melvin Romines of Rising Star, TX went to be with the Lord on June 5th at 5:19 p.m. 2018. Kenneth was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on June 13, 1951, to Opal Fultz Romines and Herman Melvin Romines. He went to grade school in Las Cruces, NM, and Casa Grande, AZ; ended middle school and started high school in Cottonwood, AZ; and finished his schooling in Mingus, AZ.
Kenneth lived a very eventful life and was quite the charmer with his ice blue eyes, slick black hair and killer smile. Kenneth was married five times. He was a Jack-of-all-trades but known to be a skilled guitar player, mechanic, truck driver, wildlife resort manager and a fantastic storyteller with a big ‘ol gentle heart.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother Opal Fultz Hamilton, his father Herman Melvin Romines, his stepfather James Hamilton and his 4th wife, Evelyn Janette Romines.
His five sisters survive Kenneth; Connie McMannon of Midwest City, OK, Laurice Miller of Dell City, OK, Mae Sandlin of Carbon, TX, Norma McAdoo of Carbon, TX and Becky Dean of Missouri. His two brothers survive Kenneth; Jerry Romines of New Braunfels, TX and Jim Miller of Carbon, TX.
Kenneth is also survived by his children; which include his son Kenneth Jesse Romines of Dallas, TX and three daughters; Rhonda Seabourn of Springtown, TX, Anita Self of Rising Star, TX and Pamela Strickland of Lake Brownwood, TX. He also has 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and a multitude of beautiful cousins, nieces, and nephews who will greatly miss his guitar-picking music, stories and unique brand of humor. He will always be remembered, missed and loved dearly, and thought upon with a smile.
Services to be held at Edwards Funeral home Saturday, June 9th at 10 a.m.
