Even with less traffic during the pandemic, Texas work zone fatalities increased 9% in 2020 compared to 2019. That’s why Tx- DOT is calling on drivers to make safety their number one priority at all times and especially when passing through active construction and maintenance work zones on the roadway.
De Leon Student Earns Phi Kappa Phi Certificate of Merit at Angelo State University

Angelo State University’s chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi (PKP) national honor society has awarded 28 pre-membership Certificates of Merit to freshmen in the top 2.5% of their class and sophomores in the top 5% of their class in recognition of their academic success and as encouragement to join PKP when they are eligible as juniors.

Ms. Hale is the Director of the Cisco Senior Nutrition Program operated out of the Myrtle Wilks Community Center. The decorations are for all the clients receiving meals from the Center.
