Eight EISD Teachers Qualify for TIA

Submitted by Shelley Rinehart Eastland ISD is very pleased to announce that eight teachers have earned adesignation through the Teacher Incentive Allotment.

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature in June of2019, with a stated goal of a six-figure salary for teachers, prioritizing teaching in highneeds and rural district campuses. The intent of this initiative is to provide highlyeffective teachers a pathway to earn more while remaining in the classroom and to helpattract and retain highly effective teachers.

Based on a locally developed and state-approved designation system, teachers have the opportunity to earn a designation of Master, Exemplary, or Recognized. The two required components to evaluate
