What is the greatest truth you ever learned about God?
Religious writers speak of the attributes of God in terms like: love, grace, mercy, patience, kindness, holiness, etc. But the term “holy” is the very essence of God and not an attribute of God. “Holy” IS God. You may use these other terms apart from God in describing people, but not the word Holy. The difference between your love and God’s love, His is holy love. The difference between your wrath and God’s wrath, His wrath is holy. We are not like Him.
Everything has an opposite: straight/crooked, hot/cold, night/day. Some have added, God/ Satan, but that’s not true. The opposite of Satan would be Michael the archangel. God has no opposite. God is on a level all by Himself! HE IS HOLY.
