Summer at the Library: A Storyteller from East Africa

We had our last major summer program at the library on Thursday, June 29th. Elizabeth Kahura, a storyteller from East Africa, presented the program. She is from a small village in the country of Kenya. Ms. Kahura is a performer, singer, storyteller and educator.

Ms. Kahura shared traditions, stories and items of interest from East Africa. (Pictured Above) The people who attended this program got to participate in the storytelling, play instruments, sing and dance.
