The Gorman Panthers opened their 2023 season on a sour note on Friday, dropping a 34-12 decision to the Lometa Hornets in a non-district six-man football showdown.

The Gorman Panthers opened their 2023 season on a sour note on Friday, dropping a 34-12 decision to the Lometa Hornets in a non-district six-man football showdown.

Gorman, which has finished at least .500 in each of the last seven seasons, will square off against Evant on Friday, Sept. 1. The game will start at 7:30 p.m. at Brogdon Field.
