The date of October 21 has been chosen for the 2023 FALL FESTIVAL in the park on Hwy. 36 in Rising Star, 10 AM to 4 PM. Coann O’Brien is Chairperson for this festival and is planning FUN things to do such as Photo Booth, cake walk, music, corn hole, face painting, jewelry, air fresheners, candy, wind chimes and a special pecan pie contest. Other goods may be sold as well.
A $50 prize will be awarded for FIRST PLACE in the pecan pie contest! Pecan pie slices will be sold to the public for $2/slice after judging has been completed.
A BBQ Cookoff will be held and is sanctioned by Lone Star Barbecue Society. Brisket, Chicken and Ribs. $125 each team; 80% Payback for 1ST - 3RD; JACKPOT beans $20 100% Payback. More Activities are planned!
