The Rising Star Wildcats evened their record at 2-2with a convincing 58-6 win against the Cranfills Gap Lions Friday evening at Wildcat Stadium.

The Cats who won the opening coin toss elected to defer to the second and kicked off to the Lions. Cranfills Gap started their first series from the 33yard line. On the second play from scrimmage Dathon Morris intercepted the pass from the Lions Back, Blake Allen, at the Wildcat 17-yard line. Four plays later the Cats were on the scoreboard when Dalton Morris burst into the end zone. Kobey Morris’s first of five good PATs gave the Cats an 8-0 lead.

The Lions came right back on a 50-yard pass completion to Adan Flores who shook off several tacklers to score for the Lions. The PAT was blocked.
