The Eastland boys’ and girls’ basketball teams will square off against rival Breckenridge in a key District 8-3A showdown on Friday. The games will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the Buckaroo Special Events Center.
The Mavericks head into the game needing a victory to stay in the district race. Following a 52-28 loss to Peaster on Friday, the Eastland boys are 2-5 in the 8-3A race.
The Eastland girls can go a long way to locking up a possible playoff berth with a win over the Lady Bucks. The Lady Mavs are 5-4 in district play.
