We have to salute the Ranger College athletes who defeated our Lady Wranglers soccer team 3-1 Friday in Chesley Field. The Lady Rangers, coached by Head Coach Julio Guerrero and Assistant Coach Ross Anderson, were extremely fit, had good endurance in the hot sun, had better control of the ball, and perhaps most importantly, had a large crowd of supporters that filled several rows in the stands at Chesley Field. Cisco is now 0-2 in conference play and will next play Sul Ross State University in Alpine at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 22 (nonconference).
The next conference game will be against Hill College in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26.
