The Rising Star Wildcats received the opening kickoff of the game and marched right down the field to score on a Blake Wilson 11-yard burst up the middle. After a Kobey Morris PAT the score stood 8-0 with only one minute gone in the first quarter.
Trent fumbled the football on their first offensive series and the Cats recovered at the 24-yard line. Rising Star returned the favor by fumbling right back to the Gorillas on the 4-yard line.
The Trent running back was tackled for a safety and the Wildcats led 10-0.
