The Millsap Bulldogs kept their postseason playoff hopes alive on Friday. And seriously damaged the Eastland Mavericks’.

Millsap scored twice in the final 12 minutes of the fourth quarter on Friday and rallied for a wild 25-21 victory in front of a large crowd at Maverick Stadium. As a team, Millsap generated more than 450 total yards, including 278 on the ground against a stingy EHS defense.

With the win, Eastland slipped to 2-6 for the season but, more importantly, fell to 1-3 in District 5-3A action heading into the final two weeks of the regular season. The loss leaves the Mavs in a tie with Comanche for fourthplace in the district standings with a 1-2 mark. Eastland and Comanche are scheduled to face off in the regular-season finale for both squads on Nov. 3 at Maverick Stadium.
