Delila Crain scored 11 points and four other players chipped in seven more and helped carry the Gorman Lady Panthers to a 49-22 victory over the DeLeon Lady Bearcats in high school basketball action.
Gorman, 1-0, jumped on DeLeon early. The Lady Panthers outscored the Lady Bearcats by a staggering 17-0 clip in the first eight minutes.
DeLeon fought its way back in the second and third quarters. The Lady Bearcats posted a 16-14 clip in the two frames and trailed 31-16 heading into the final period. Gorman salted away the win with an 18-4 spree in the fourth.
