We have been in Santiago, Chile, for the last two days and have had a great time. We are staying in a nice place near the Santiago city center, and just for your information, the cost comes out to $25 a person per night – which fits our budget. One of the highlights was when we took a cable car to the top of San Cristobal Hill and had magnificent city views.
We left Antarctica yesterday and were sad to leave such a fantastic place – even with all the turbulent seas!
Our itinerary changed as the sea was too turbulent to go to one island. They found two spots with a cove where we could safely make it in from the ship to the island in the Zodiac.
