Delila Crain and Kyndall Scitern both pushed in doubledigit efforts on Saturday and helped push the Gorman Lady Panthers to a 38-25 victory over the Bowie Lady Jackrabbits in the finals of the Silver Division at the Breckenridge basketball tournament.
The Lady Panthers, now 13-2 overall, went 3-2 in the tournament. Their only losses came via a 3427 setback to Class 5A Wichita Falls Rider and No. 1-ranked Jim Ned.
The Lady Panthers, who garnered nine points from Mariella Rodriguez, used a dominating defensive effort in the second quarter to subdue Bowie. After fighting their way to a slim 14-10 lead in the first, Gorman limited the Lady Rabbs to just five points in the second.
