Gorman Monthly Sales Tax Revenue Allocation Trends Upwards

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced recently that he would send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for December, 2.5 percent more than in December 2022.

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced recently that he would send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.1 billion in local sales tax allocations for December, 2.5 percent more than in December 2022.

These allocations are based on sales made in October by businesses that report tax monthly.

Gorman has a sales tax rate of 2.000%. The Net Payment this Period to Gorman from the Comptroller is $13,943.03; a 17.28% change compared to $11,888.54, the prior year’s payment this period. Gorman’s payment received YTD is $194,944.20; a 2.19% change compared to the prior year’s payment of $190,752.38.
