Eastland County Retired Teachers met Monday, January 8, 2024, at Cisco Conrad Hilton at 11:30. Gail Norris, President, presided.
A timely and informative program was presented by Cisco Chief of Police, Kenneth Preston on “Scams and Safety for Seniors.” Some of the many topics he discussed were scams, cons, personal safety as well as many more. With each of these topics ways to protect neself were also provided. Then followed questions from the audience and answers by Chief Preston. Informative brochures were also provided, all of which are available at the Cisco Police Department.
A pot luck meal was enjoyed, and Gail Norris reminded everyone to remember the next meeting, February 12, 2024, at 11:30 at Cisco Methodist Church. Everyone is asked to bring items for the live auction. Monies collected from the auction benefit the scholarship fund. In addition to bringing items for the auction, Gail reminded everyone to bring money, too!
