Delila Crain scored 18 points and Mariella Rodriguez chipped in 15 more on last week and powered the Gorman Lady Panthers to an easy 63-32 win over the Priddy Lady Pirates in the Area round of the Class A state playoffs.
The win also moved Gorman to within a whisper of a regional tournament appearance.
Gorman, now 31-3 overall, played Cherokee in the regional quarterfinals on February 19. The winner of that contest will advance to the regional tournament.
