GEOLOGY OF THE RANGER OIL FIELD IN TEXAS REPORTED IN 1922

When the field work for this report was finished, July 1, 1922, there were in the area mapped, which included the entire Rang- er field with the exception of a dozen or so dry holes and small producers east of the town of Ranger, 850 oil wells, 35 gas wells, 150 dry holes, and 220 wells being drilled.

The total production of the field up to that time was about 20,000,000 barrels, which probably represented 75 per cent of the ultimate total production of the field. The maximum daily production of the field (80,000 barrels a day) was reached in the second week of July, 1919.
