Gracie Bowles delivered a key triple and Ana Cunningham held the Millsap Lady Bulldogs’ bats in check as the Eastland Lady Mavericks pounded out a 12-2 victory at home.
With the win, the Lady Mavericks improved to 10-6-1 for the season and, more importantly, moved to 3-1 in District 8-3A action.
After Millsap had opened the game with a run in the top of the first, the Lady Mavs offense kicked into gear. Eastland reeled off three runs in the home half of the second and never lookedback. They tacked on four more runs in the third to extend their lead to 7-1.
